The Greek writer Doretta Peppa claims to have the last painting made by Vincent van Gogh. According to Peppa and the German press agency DPA the painting is a later version of the portrait of doctor Paul Gauchet.
At this moment the authenticity painting is being researched. In about three weeks there may be a definitive answer to the question whether the painting is a true Vincent van Gogh or not. Some Greek art historians show their doubts and criticism to this breaking news. Many of them think that Peppa is fantasizing.
Dr. Gachet took care of van Gogh during the artist's last months. Gachet was a hobby painter and he became good friends with van Vincent. In a letter to his brother Theo, Vincent described his relationship with Dr. Gachet: "I've done the portrait of Dr. Gachet with a melancholy expression, which might well seem like a grimace to those who see it... Sad but gentle, yet clear and intelligent, that is how many portraits ought to be done... They are modern heads that may be looked at for a long time, and that may perhaps be looked back on with longing a hundred years later."

Last Van Gogh painting found in Greece?

No,... I do not believe Doretta Peppa owns Vincent's real last painting,... or that she is making this all up. Some is absolutely true, and exactly what will have to come later as computer science analysis along with many more new technologies which are already in use in this modern world of ours, and do actually come into play and are used in authentication practices, instead of MFA expertise of only hands on intuitive bull crap! The reason I know this is because I own his very last painting he painted, an oil painting painted in the metamorphosis of his own death, showing the world exactly how this acted out attempted suicide took place. This was sketched by him onto paper and then painted while being glued down onto cardboard while waiting for Theo to arrive from Paris.
This painting was written about in a book more than likely taken right from the letter found in Vincent's vest pocket by his brother Theo, which was probably read at Vincent funeral. This book was re-written in 1930 that was a copy from a older German Leather bound book written in slang German by its author and translated into English by J. Holroyd-Reece of Julius Meier-Graefe the author of the first leather bound book, and calling it "Vincent". Most people who actually think that Vincent really wanted to take his own life and commit this act of suicide aught to really reconsider,... open their eyes and ear to what I will be showing and saying to you. I know also that there will be many who are of the old school and will remain as the rest of the skeptics,... but what the hell,... who really cares about them.
Cheers!

RE: Carbon Dating....
Dear Forum,
This can place Month AND Year Nowadays...
I Hope they do a Proper and Thorough Chemical Research on the Work...
That should answer Some of the Raised Questions?!
They could compare the chemical make-up of a tiny drop of paint to the Area and Type of another work painted at around the same time?!
That would help Too?!
Anyone Else?!
Regards
