This special balloon in the shape of Vincent van Gogh was designed to honor the 150th birthday of Vincent van Gogh.
On 30th of March, the birthday of Van Gogh, the balloon was ready for the official launch. The launch was in the village Zundert, the birthplace of Vincent.
Some details of the balloon:
- The canvas is 2.500 square meters
- The balloon is 30 meters high, with a diameter of 23 meters
- Each ear measures 5,5 meters (at the time of the portrait he still had both ears)
- Content of the balloon: 4.000 cubic meters
- Cost 250.000 euros
