Almond blossom

In January 1890, Theo wrote to his brother that he named his newborn son Vincent Willem. As a gift to his nephew and his parents, Vincent painted the Almond Blossom. As a symbol for new life, he chose the almond tree as subject for a painting. This painting was a present from Vincent to the newly parents.

Fave!

Definately my favorite painting. It has a nice story to it, aswell.
