Flowers in a blue vase

This painting is a fine result of Van Gogh’s experiments in colour. ‘Flowers in a Blue Vase’ is a fresh and colourful mixed bouquet. Vincent's palette displays a full tonal range from deep brown and violet shadows topearly whites and opalescent pinks.

He wrote about these colours to his sister Wil: "Pink, soft or bright green, light blue, violet, yellow, glorious red."

This is one of my favorite

This is one of my favorite Van Gogh's paintings. I think he did his best at florals and should have kept in that style. Of course, that is my favorite style too.

Very pretty!

Hi Rozwood!

This painting is one of my favorites too. I love flowers, they bring such happiness. Ans this style is truly amazing, such great feeling for details! It almost looks like a photo don't you think? :-)
